The editorial home of World Cooking Experience

Travel is also
a way of reading.

A home for magazines about the table, territory, material and culture — made to be read before departure, kept after the return and revisited over time.

Editorial manifesto

A journey can end.
A good story continues.

Journal · principles of the house

Journal is the editorial home of World Cooking Experience: the place where we research, commission, organise and preserve stories born from an encounter with a territory.

Each magazine begins with a question capable of sustaining research, images and reading over time. It has its own name, voice and domain; Journal preserves the index, the criteria and the relationship between them all.

Travel is the point of departure, not the final product. We publish stories that bring people, kitchens, crafts, landscapes and memory closer — without reducing a culture to scenery, trend or list.

  1. 01Slow curation

Time to research, select and edit with intention.

  2. 02Situated authorship

Stories built with those who know and sustain each territory.

  3. 03Permanence

Publications made to be kept, revisited and to continue the journey.

Publication library

One root.
Distinct worlds.

Each magazine retains its own name, voice and domain. Journal gathers the published catalogue, preserves the relationship between issues and opens new lines of enquiry without anticipating titles still under research.

Inside the editorial house

Method, responsibility
and permanence.

Journal separates reading from travel products and makes its criteria visible. Architecture, editorial policy and the office now live in a dedicated institutional space.

  1. 01

    A legible architecture

House, publication, issue and story retain distinct roles.

  2. 02

    A public standard

Authorship, credit, context, transparency and correction guide every title.

  3. 03

    An accountable office

Publisher, contact and commissioning criteria remain identifiable.

Editorial horizons

The next title begins
with a question.

A territory does not enter Journal because it is trending. It enters when we find a question capable of revealing relationships between culture, table, material, landscape and time.

  1. 01Research

Recognise voices, practices and tensions that deserve sustained attention.

  2. 02Relate

Build connections between people, crafts, places and cultural memory.

  3. 03Edit

Give each world an identity of its own, without reducing it to a destination.
